5 Shades of Grays?

As I told you readers and viewers in a past blog, I started to do black and white ink drawings again.  I like that I'm able to convey and visualize my thoughts easily on paper.  These drawings were done with Sumi ink on Rives BFK papers.  The 'colors' are these design markers I got in 5 different shades of grays.  I choose 5 sets of warm grays and 5 sets of cool grays, and used them in tandem with the ink drawings to give them dimensions.

Hey Guys,

So here's the new format of my blogs.  Hope you like it.  I've been doing a lot of new works on paper this past year. and I will start posting new stuff for you guys.  Since moving from Milwaukee to San Diego and living in a one bedroom studio, I've started to go back doing ink drawing and utilizing design markers in my work.  I find that the immediacy of drawing to be refreshing since I can translate and visualize an idea right away into reality.  I also started to do some more cut paper pieces again.  I find that the meticulous aspect of paper cutting forces me to think more about the pieces that I'm making.  Furthermore it teaches me about patience and it's kinda fun to see the pieces being 'set free' from the paper and become something.  So without further ado, I give you some recent pieces I've created.

Update and New Layout

Hey Guys,

Sorry that I haven't update in a while.  Things have been really busy.  I moved back to San Diego and currently living in the Hillcrest neighborhood.  I've been living here for a year and a half now, and been doing some new works.  I'm excited to show it to you guys.  Also a few changes.  my blog site has change to AriesTjhinart.blogspot.com so people can easily find it and type it in the computer/mobile phone.
