So........our paper making studio at Redline is finally complete and fully operational. I get to learn from our paper making teacher, Dara Larson, how to create the pulp, and make hand made paper from it. It was a good experience for me, and it totally lead my work to a whole new direction. Anyway... this are sample of the works that I've created as a result of my dabbling in paper making. Also, these pieces might be included in an upcoming group show at Redline called "Pulp Possibillities". Enjoy the preview.

Wall installation

Closeup

This installation, "Pastoral Landscape" consist of ink on tracing paper, with cut paper, paper sculpture and collage. It was all constructed with nails on the wall. It was probably the most stressful part of the exhibition because it was very spontaneous and I didn't really know how it's going to look like in the end. I had an idea in my head of the piece, but just like any wall installation I've done in the past, it's been the use of instinct and intuition that shape the end product.

My solo show at the Riverwest Jazz Gallery

All the pieces are made from cut paper, acrylic, and ink
